Title: Ms. Cynthia Moore - Art Instructor of OTC and me, Feb 13, 2014 |
Artist: |
Size: |
Completed Time: Feb 13, 2014 |
Remarks: Ms. Cynthia Moore was the first art instructor who came to my art exhibition Feb 7, 2014 and asked me to give 3 groups o her students some Chinese Painting demonstrations and presentations. Also, she is the first art educator who asked me to teach her students Line Drawing - Chinese Baimiao.
I felt so luck to be given a so good opportunity to touch her students. I was so happy for her professional insight and knew the position of Line Drawing in the Chinese Painting field.
So, specially for preparing my classes for her students, this week, I painted 4 new paintings, not only painted some Chinese Xieyi, Biaomiao, also, I painted a Chinese Mogu, because I wanted her students know, except the ink lines in Chinese paintings as the bones of Chinese painting, there is another line of colors. :-)
I am sure by the good direction of Ms. Moore, I have done my best and her students have remembered at least the biggest characteristics of Chinese painting:
-- It is an art of lines, a linear art.
-- It is a comprehensive art.
When I would like to finish the writing about the classes that I have given to the students of Mr. Moore, I got a letter from Dr. Ann Elise Pankhurst:
" I loved your lecture about Chinese painting and the opportunity to try some. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience"
Just let her words as the end remark of my classes for the students of Ms. Cynthia Moore at OTC, OK?
