Title: Chinese Xieyi--049(Flower & Bird): Peonies Practice |
Artist: Shirley Zhang |
Size: 70cm x 40cm |
Completed Time: Sat, Oct 8, 2005 |
Remarks: This is my 49th Chinese Xieyi-- Freehand Brushworks. I painted it in my art lesson after I just came back from my holiday trip last night. Even though my heart was still in Wuxi and my head was a little bit dizzy from the flying. I kept having my art lesson for 2 hours. Because I often feel that I have little time to lose at my age to learn something new. I enjoy the process to create. Also after I came back from my trip last Oct., I realized how I am luck that the fee for me to I have 3 times art lessons, is same as one year’s fee for a elementary school student in Yunnan, Guizhui, Guangxi and some the other areas in China. So, I have to cherish my luck and opportunity to learn.
This time, I paid more attention to my leaves painting, wanted to express the layers and also tried to avoid to paint them too similar as I did in last several lessons...Anyway, after I completed it, I still feel the leaves on the left seem like similar still and my range flower seems not naturally. Do you agree with me? What is your opinions about it? :-)
