Remarks:
This is my 11th Chinese Gongbi and first character that I painted with Gongbi style. I had some inspiration from a piece of beautiful music and also from a photo of a little deer ? you will see it in the Chinese poem this week. Anyway, I did not know what a deer鈥檚 feet like, so, I hid them in the grass. :- )
After I created the draft, I was looking forward to have an art lesson for I did not know how to color a character with Chinese Gong Bei style, but my teacher could not offer it on the weekend once more. So, I tried to color it relying on the directions from some art books. Even though I do not make sure whether I was right to color it, but, I have completed it and do feel that I should do some practice on charcoal drawing as well. I do not like painting charcoal drawing (I love to play colors : - ) ), even though the teacher asked me to do that for a long time. Anyway, today, when I didn鈥檛 know how to color the face of the girl, I realized that I did lack the knowledge on anatomy and charcoal drawing indeed. I am thinking that maybe to see what is my weakness on my art cultures, what I should learn more in the art field, just the best gain after working on this picture. :-) Do you like this picture?
