Artist: Shirley Yiping Zhang |
Size: 139.80cm x 188.70cm ( 54.72 inches x 74.29 inches ) - Chinese Ink on Paper |
Completed Time: July 27, 2013 |
Remarks: This is and my 829th painting , the 433rd Chinese Xieyi Painting, my 80th Landscape and the 221st assignment at Chinese National Academy of Arts.
As the only student who has completed this ancient painting that was created by Li Tang in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) in 1124, with the original size among the 33 students in 2012 class year, I worked on it for 29 days (includes 7 days last semester in 2012), and completed it after the school has started its summer vacation for 6 days.
What I have felt from painting this picture not only on the improvement of the painting skills themselves, but also on the training of willpower. Many times, I encouraged myself with the spirit of the pine and the mountains.
About this, I will let you know when I am in a relaxed emotion and situation at home in Shenzhen.
How do you think of my work? Do you enjoy it?
