Remarks: This is my 346th Chinese Xieyi Painting and my 644th painting since 2003, the 18th assignment in Chinese National Academy of Arts since Oct 7, 2011.
I worked on this painting for about 4 days.
After I came to China Central Academy of Fine Arts 2010, I just knew that a Chinese Xieyi painting could be drafted and it could be painted for a long time. But then when I studied in CAFA, except I painted a long landscape for about 2 months, I did not really painted any flower and bird painting for over 1 day.
Until I came to Chinese National Academy of Arts in 2011, first time, I painted my first Chinese Xieyi painting -- the red-crowned crane and pine trees for 8 days, this week, I painted the new pine trees and chrysanthemum for 4 days. :-)
I enjoy painting pine tree for it is strong, tall and straight, it is the symbol of the great personality in Chinese culture. I would really like to learn from it indeed, especially when I am still fighting with the sickness and live in a new and a little bit hard climate and life environment.
So, when I painted it, I did feel that I was working on expressing something beautiful and meaningful, there was a feeling of the apotheosis in my heart. :-) How do you think of this painting? Do you enjoy it?
