Remarks: This is my 634th painting since 2003and the 38th Chinese Gongbi Painting, also it is the 7th assignment that I have completed in Chinese National Academy of Arts as a graduate student.
I worked on this painting for more than 70 hours. Mainly I wanted to study how to paint the birds more.
My feeling during I worked on this painting was that the more I painted on it, the more I found and felt, so that I could not finish it day and day, until one of my former classmates in China Central Academy of Fine Arts called me and invited me to have a lunch in her new school -- China Modern Gongbi Painting Academy since another classmates had went there on Sunday.
After I cut down my new painting from my painting frame, I just found I did not sign my name yet.
Today, my tutor commented this painting and he pointed that some of my colors has gone out of the ink lines because I missed a step when my painted.
-- Every time, after I colored the painting three times, I should cover the painting with the water of the alum and gelatin to fix the colors. At least I should color it 9 times and cover the painting with the alum and gelatin water 3 times.
-- Even though I have colored this painting more than 10 times, since I missed the step to fix the colors with the special water at least 3 times, even though I had colored the background with tea water 5 times, the result is not good enough.
How do you think of this painting, do you enjoy it?
