Title: Chinese Xieyi--053(Flower & Bird): Singing & Dancing :-) |
Artist: Shirley Zhang |
Size: 70cm x 40cm |
Completed Time: Wed, Nov 2, 2005 |
Remarks: This is my 53rd Chinese Xieyi -- Freehand Brushwork. I created it during my art lesson Wednesday night. I followed my teacher's require to paint a new picture of chrysanthemum, but, I added 2 birds for my picture according to my own thoughs. :-) On the basic foundation of 52nd picture, I painted another bird to match the old one for I wanted to make the two birds to speak and to sing each other/or maybe the little one is singing and dancing for the big one. I wanted to create a picture with songs from birds and sweet smell from flowers/ with something fun.:-) However, as soon as I completed it, I know that my leaves on the left and below should not connect together. Also the tail of the bird on the stone is not good for I had painted a wrong brush.:-)
Anyway, my teacher was confident of me and required me to practice more and to prepared to take part in a national painting competition next year. :-) Are you confident to me and my painting? :-)
